The Philadelphia Services Building (400 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia)
The Philadelphia Services Building at 400 N Broad Street and 1501 Callowhill Street redeveloped by Tower Investments, Inc. from its original use as the home of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The historically 526,000 square foot building with its iconic clock tower was built in 1925 and was considered to be the most modern printing plant at the time. After 86 years, Tower purchased the property from Philadelphia Media.
Renovation began in 2017 when the City of Philadelphia chose the building for its new Police headquarters, two district police stations, City Morgue, Toxicology Lab and Fire Department Administrative Offices with a Fire Command Center. The Property also includes a 590 space parking garage. Renovation to be complete by the end of 2020.
