The Piazza at Schmidts

The AIA award winning project is venerated as a model of urban redevelopment at its best with open public spaces and cutting edge architecture. The Piazza at Schmidts is a three acre site that was abandoned for decades now has 414 residential units and on the ground level, 100,000 square feet of commercial space, including four restaurants anchoring this ambitious development. The Piazza, which has a large performance stage and an enormous 26’ by 16’ foot screen – the city’s largest – for movies and sporting events, hosts festivals and entertainment throughout the year, most of them free to residents and visitors alike.
